Martin Baird, a lifelong musician, opened Verge Music Works recording studio in Dallas, in 1991, and has worked with Grammy® and Dove Award winners DCTalk, Sixpence None the Richer, and Cynthia Clawson; Dove Award winner Bruce Greer; and with major label artists such as Course of Empire and Ben Kweller of Radish. Martin started developing his studio and technical skills in his teens by recording bands and is now a producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter.

An avid reader and learner he is always seeking to stay current and increase his knowledge and capabilities. He studied music and composition at the University of North Texas and regularly attends recording industry seminars, conferences, and conventions.

Being a musician and songwriter in the technical environment of the studio serves him well. Martin possesses a balance of artistic and technical abilities and never loses sight that the technology exists to serve the best interests of the artist and song.
